that should've been 80-85%

the lion's share of shirt sales go directly to the kit manufacturer, something like 90-95% i think, that's why manufacturers pay clubs such large fees to be able to produce their shirts.

Re: Neymar to PSG five year deal £55 million a year
As it's a bit of a hostile takeover I thought Barca were insisting on all the money up front.
From PSG's point of view I presume they book the fee as an asset and release it over his contract. So if it's £200m it would be expensed at £40m a year and added to their P&L along with his wages.
Is there anything to stop PSG printing a million Neymar shirts at £5 each and the Qatar But Not Really Qatar Wink Wink Nudge Nudge Company Limited buying them off the club for £50 each?

Re: Neymar to PSG five year deal £55 million a year
By QSI giving the player the money to buy himself out, they also avoid having to pay 88 million Euros in taxes on the deal to the Spanish revenue.

Simply put, if PSG financed the deal directly themselves, it's estimated that once taxes, agents, commissions, bonuses, etc were factored in, they'd be looking at somewhere between 350 - 400 million Euros before they even start thinking about wages.

One rule for City and PSG, one rule for everyone else.

FFP ? Laughable. It fucking stinks.

you can pay transfer fees out over the length of the contract, if the selling club agrees. but the rules for reporting losses are standard.

Re: Neymar to PSG five year deal £55 million a year
Isn't it within the FFP rules that they can spread the whole sum over the full length of his contract and i guess no doubt they will keep issuing a new one every couple of years.. ..haha!

Whoever it is the money will ultimately be coming from QSI.

Reports seem to differ at the moment, some are saying it's Neymar's lawyer, others are saying it's PSG's lawyer.

I believe the UEFA rule is that a club can only record losses of 30m over three seasons, or 5m in the same period unless the owner injects equity. That's what it was, although those rules may have been amended as they were keen to scrap 'financial doping'.

Hold on

Neymar is paying the money to buy himself out...and is being funded that money by Qatar, not PSG ?

State funded ?

What's the ruling, can only spend 30 million over what they generated ?

Sickenig deal. You have to hope he gets a career ending injury and Brazil fail to qualify for the WC.

Heard the deal had been delayed because his father/"agent" was owed something like 21m from Barca for his services.

Re: Neymar to PSG five year deal £55 million a year
La Liga has rejected an attempt by lawyers for Barcelona forward Neymar to pay his buyout clause of 222m euros (£198m).

The Brazilian, 25, is expected to sign for Paris St-Germain for a world record fee, after telling Barcelona he wanted to leave the club on Wednesday.

Spanish media say La Liga officials believe PSG are violating Uefa's Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.

Barcelona previously said they would report PSG to Uefa for a FFP breach.

I've been reading for a while that La Liga would kick up a fuss but that as long as the release clause is met, they don't have a leg to stand on.

So FFP no longer applies?

You read stuff like this and see a cunt of a player who cheats, feigns injury and as an all round “bit of a cunt” Yet he is held up for youngsters to aspire too.

On every level this deal will seriously fuck up an already seriously fucked sport, and makes me wonder why the fuck I bother following it, I honestly wish at times I could say fuck football and never tune in or go to a game again………unfortunately I cant.

Football though has seriously gone to the dogs, clubs owned by dodgy individuals, the whole cancer that is FIFA, and now terror supporting nation’s bank rolling Europe’s top clubs.
